Despite the cooler temperatures, many of us might still be planning a visit to the coast this winter - from relaxing ambles with the family to refreshing new year's dips. Whatever your plans, don't let your trip be one to remember for the wrong reasons. These simple tips could make all the difference.
- Check the tide times before you visit to avoid getting cut off or stranded
- Wrap up warm and wear suitable footwear
- Avoid visiting the coast in extreme weather
- Remember, alcohol and the sea don't mix
- Acclimatise slowly when taking a cold water dip
- Remember Float to Live
